(ENA) – Addis Ababa August 11/2018 Addis Ababa City Administration will continue change of leadership at all levels to solve problems of city residents with public participation.
At a press conference he held today, Addis Ababa Deputy Mayor Takele Uma said “reorganization of leadership and officers will be carried out down to woreda level based on assessment.”
Residents of the city have multifaceted questions and those problems cannot be solved at a time, he said, adding that his administration has however identified major problems such as lack of water supply, housing and sewerage disposal.
“As there is a huge water supply problem in our city, we have not only designed projects but also changed the organization and leadership of the water sector,” he said.
With respect to housing, Takele pointed out that the administration will complete the existing big housing projects as soon as possible. “In the future, the public will be actively involved in the housing projects at all levels. Government alone cannot accomplish the task.”
The other problem, according to the deputy mayor, is sewerage disposal system.
He further said identification card service will be supported by electronics.
It is to be recalled that Addis Ababa City Council approved the appointment of 18 cabinet members yesterday.
